Retro Trends that are making a comeback in the 2020

Nostalgia is a tricky thing. It is often the smallest things that trigger the feeling of reminiscence and we go spiraling back in the golden time when less is more was the mantra albeit weddings and more specifically Pakistani bridal dresses and decor. We have certainly progressed a lot as we trudged into the 20s but this constant feeling that something is missing is still persisting hence some retro trends are coming back to make your wedding days unique and beautiful with an aura of tradition and culture.

Yes, you read that right. Retro weddings are making a comeback and it is a change that is welcomed and accepted by many. If you are looking for retro bridal dresses and wedding inspirations then you are in luck because one of our favorite versatile models got married and we are still not done fawning over her beautiful wedding day.

Eman Suleman tied the and we are just in awe over how crazy beautiful she looked. From her dress to her jewelry and d?cor, everything was dripping with a graceful haunting nostalgia. Getting into the deets, retro Pakistani weddings and Gota embroidered wedding dresses go hand in hand. For her Mehndi, she chose a minimalist white dress with a Gota and sequined embroidered white dupatta, also known as Kiran dupatta that was a huge hit in the 90s. The jewelry for mehndi was also very delicate looking. A Kundan choker and Jhumkas were paired with white bangles to complete the look. The whole mehndi look was finished with light no make-up look that Eman pulled off very beautifully.

For Baraat, instead of choosing from heavily embellished bridal dresses, Eman went for a classic traditional special. We are reminded of the simpler times through her Barat ensemble. The classic ruby red dress was paired with a modest earring mang tikka set and a chunri dupatta. The absence of a heavy necklace definitely made the gorgeous dress the center of attention. Though a wedding ladies dress, it was not heavily embellished. The valima dress emanated the chill and stylish vibe, the color was ivory with intricated embroidery that delicately adorned Eman?s petite frame.

The d?cor is another aspect that really added to the retro vibe that the couple was going for. We are taken straight back into the 80s - 90s era through the red and golden d?cor. A ?Happy Marriage? and ?Shaadi Mubarak? sign brought back the nostalgia that we feel when we look at our parent?s wedding photos. The vibrant d?cor adds to the traditional vibe!
